Help Keep KQRZ on the Air!

Please consider donating funds to KQRZ (aka the Oregon Amateur Radio Club) to help us pay our tower expenses, electricity, program material, and insurance. Plus, we are trying to acquire funds that will enable us to eventually stream over the internet. Thank you for your support!

The Oregon Amateur Radio Club (OARC) has been an established Amateur Radio club incorporated in the State of Oregon in 2011 as a non-profit club. Amateur radio operators have a code of honor. Amateur radio is first and foremost designed to provide goodwill among the peoples of the world and we are ambassadors of our own locality every time we make a radio contact.

Our behavior and manners reflect the type of agents we are of our community and our hobby. Our creed is to be:

CONSIDERATE: Never knowingly operating in such a way as to lessen the pleasure of others. LOYAL: Offering encouragement and support to other amateurs, other clubs, and the general public regardless of age, race, creed, or sex. PROGRESSIVE: With knowledge abreast of science, a well built and efficient station and operation beyond reproach. FRIENDLY: With slow and patient operation when requested, friendly advice and counsel to the beginner, kindly assistance, co-operation and consideration for the interests of others. These are the hallmarks of the amateur spirit. BALANCED: Radio is an avocation, never interfering with duties owed to family, job, school or community. PATRIOTIC & SERVICE TO COMMUNITY: With station and skill always ready for service to our community and country and to live and work according to the laws of man demonstrating the highest standards of professional conduct at all times.
